After leaving Matamata College Jim qualified as a Carpenter and then went into the Dry Cleaning / Laundry industry. With over 42 years in the business sector, Jim has been involved in commercial and residential property development in the Waikato and the Bay of Plenty.

Jim has been one of the driving forces behind this latest development and was instrumental in securing the prime location of Copper Crest Village Estate.

Jim is married to Joyce with two adult sons.
